Instead of sending a Thanksgiving Card , Spire2 to proposed sending out a gift that would help alumni make Advent a more meaningful season, and keep the college top-of-mind through the end of year giving season. The challenge was to make the piece look both appropriate at Thanksgiving and feel like Christmas. A gold and purple color scheme gave the piece feel an elegant harvest look. For the year-end appeal we tweaked the color scheme and used the same elements to create completely different feeling which still tied nicely with the book. It was well received and the President's office fielded many requests for additional copies. Other aspects of the recommendation including an email component for a wider audience are already being discussed for 2012.
